えーー先日
スイカじゃなくてメロンだったと申しておりましたが…
それも違って！！
かぼちゃでした〜〜〜〜〜！！！

The other day, I talked about watermelon,
that was NOT MELON but
PUMPKIN


ハーーー
今日畑を通ってびっくりした！

そして、摘果したわかーーいカボチャ、
タブーリサラダにしました。
このわかいカボチャ、商品にできそうだなあー
農家のみなさん、スイカじゃなくてメロンじゃない、（笑）若い摘果したカボチャ、サラダにすると美味しいです！



ミントがなかったので
ミントティーの葉っぱを使いました。
（けっこうこれ、イケルよ）

コリアンダーもあると良かったな

Made tabouli with the not melon but pumpkin's baby.

I was out of fresh peppermint, so I used the mint tea's leaves.
and not bad at all ;)

雨上がり、にょっきり立ち上がった、メロンのつる！
After the rain the watermelon stem stood up !



メロンの花は黄色くて、摘果された実も、ちびこいがメロン。
The melon flower is yellow and the baby melon shapes like melon !


切ってみたら、中はこんな感じ。
The inside is like ...melon !


お漬物にしました＾＾
mede it into pickles. ready to serve for lunch.


実はこの実、一口食べるまでスイカだと思ってた！！（笑）
Until I had a bite of this, believed it was watermelon.

葉っぱが違うもんねー　細くて割れてる。下の写真がスイカ。
ミューラ人にあるまじき間違い、失敬！

The leaves are different.

エドワード・アーディゾーニ　 ー英国イラストレーションの伝統に行ってきました。
銀座の教文館はいつ行ってもしっとりしてて
昔ながらの建物に、物語を感じます。

Had a chance to go to Edward Ardizzoni retrospective in Ginza, Tokyo. Ardizzoni is famous as " Tim All Alone " His illustration is classic and yet fresh, raised the level of the children's book illustration.

花子とアンの 村岡花子さんはこちらで働いていた、と つい最近知りました。
パルピテーションです（笑）

アーディゾーニは 絵本における挿絵という枠を
確固たる位置に高めた方ではないかと思います。
こぐま社の会長さんである佐藤さんが 個人的に収集されたもの、
貴重なアーディゾーニの直筆の手紙
これまで世に出されてなかった作品なども拝見することができました。






 

アーディゾーニは、 エリナー・ファージョンとタグを組むことが多く
今更ながら、これもあれもアーディゾーニさんだったか！と
展示されたものを見て驚きました。

I like Eleanor Farjeon, and they were good combination to make a great book.

その中でエリナーさん自身を表しているのではという
「マローンばあさん」の展示では不意をつかれて、
すっかりやられてしまいました。 いろんな動物たちの訪問に、
「あなたの場所はあるさ」と次々動物たちに 自分の家の片隅を提供していき、
最後には… というところで、
本当にぐっときてしまいました。 （どうぞ見に行って、ぐっときてください！）

Have you read " MRS. MALONE " by her ? I was struck by this piece and so moved by it totally.

This is said, that Mrs. Malone is Elenor by herself.

線と線を重ねてだす陰影 木々や人々の表情は 自分が小さくて、
世界が大きすぎるほど大きかった時の記憶の感覚と
とても近いように思いました。

たっぷり時間があって 絵の線を辿りつつ冒険するような感じ。。

Ardizzoni's line drawing has the mood of the nostalgia.

Salad becomes the center of the table when summer comes.


And I always remember that I wanted this thing.


The french salad spinner.
They put leaves inside of the basket, and spin it in the garden.
And I heard this is the routine work for french kids.



sometimes it could be a disaster...

the shichirin ( japanese charcoal stove )




open air is always the good spice for food.




In the port area of Misaki, it is very common to eat outside during summer.
and this small stove is perfect for the summery supper.
life is a beach !
